Manyama joins Supersport
Ajax Cape Town have confirmed that Lebohang Manyama will join Supersport United in January.
The winger, who netted 15 goals in 71 starts for the Urban Warriors since his arrival at Ikamva in 2010, recently turned down a move to Premiership champions Kaizer Chiefs.
Ajax and Chiefs had agreed to the sale but Manyama rejected the personal terms offered by Amakhosi, with the deal falling through.
However, the 23-year-old has now opted to switch loyalties to Matsatsantsa.
Ajax boss Ari Efstathiou said in a statement:
“Ajax Cape Town and Supersport United have agreed terms on the transfer and Manyama has accepted personal terms offered by United and will join them from January 2014.
“Ajax Cape Town has paved the way for Lebo to have a very successful future and would like to thank him for his contribution to Ajax Cape Town during his three-and-a-half years with the club.” Manyama was contracted to Ajax until the end of the season, and played his last game for the Mother City outfit in the 2-0 home defeat to Platinum Stars on Saturday evening.
